MdM (Matter does Matter)
Self-reproducing entities. 2019 - 2020

MdM showcases tiny kinetic objects that create copies of themselves. These entities composed of fats swim and divide in the water over and over until a lack of new materials brings them to a standstill. The continuous cycles of deformation and division they perform, live on public display, both transfix and unnerve.

Fat between 2 Worlds
Membranes of the past and future. 2013 - 2015

Fat between 2 worlds is a hybrid installation that engages experimentally with the spontaneous transformation of fats into organic structures. It presents a collection of lipid membranes akin to living cells with unique morphologies grown in vitro using self-assembly processes and lipid mixtures.
